Even if a student's screen is cracked, the student can still participate.


If the student's screen is only slightly cracked, college representatives may still be able to scan the barcode. StriveScan barcodes have "error correction" technology allowing some amount of the screen or barcode to be obstructed and still successfully scan.


If the student's screen is badly damaged, the StriveScan app may not be able to read the barcode. In those cases, the college representative can tap the Manually Enter ID link on the scanning screen and type in the student's barcode ID number. The ID number is emailed and/or texted to the student along with the barcode.
